A recent blogpost by Swati Sucharita, a friend & a prominent food blogger from Hyderabad, brought back memories of a delicious mocktail that Sharad Arora, our very own multiple award winning mixologist, whipped up for me nearly a year ago. A visiting friend gave me the perfect opportunity to revive the memory with something stronger. So, off we went for a round of post lunch cocktails to United Kitchens of India.
We were quite content to leave ourselves in the master’s capable hands. After a few quick questions to ascertain our preferred flavor profile, off went Sharad to mix us some magic potions. As my friend looked on with an expression of long suffering & amused indulgence (so typical of Single Malt loyalists at the prospect of sipping something else), I saw his expression change to one of ‘this is good but how can that be, it’s not vintage scotch!!’ I was ready to let loose a cheer of vindication on behalf of all the humble cocktail enthusiasts!!
This is what we had:
Ambience – Relaxed. I do wish some sprucing up is done on the peeling plaster in some places.
Thank you for a great experience and for sharing the stories behind the cocktails Sharad. I will be back soon for more!
